Function and beauty combined...

Something wonderful happens when I can actually use a vintage item in my home, fulfilling the makers and objects purpose. I am really drawn to articles of the past that were made to function and the design of these items leads with that essence.
For me however, beauty is also such a wonderful quality - I really do like to look at beautiful things through my day and this combination brings me a little joy!
When a vintage object catches my eye to resell on the store it is these qualities I consider.

I love this post by James Coviello (insta: @james_coviello) - a daily chore (doing the laundry) graced and aided by beautiful antiques and vintage pieces - celebrating the object as functional, aesthetically beautiful and in the personally creative space of ones home.
